Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center Staten Island Post Acute Care

They offer both family and residential councils. They are not located inside a hospital. They do not belong to a continuing care community. My stay at Plaza was excellent I was in the facility for 5 weeks and the service was great! The staff was very attentive , and the rehab.

Alaris Health At Riverton is terrible. You don’t want your loved one to be there. I can’t wait for my father-in-law to get out of there. The TV is breaking down every five minutes.

They have a little patio, but the outside is nice. They’re very friendly, they answer any questions I have, and they’re very nice on the phone. By in large this is an EXCELLENT facility. When I visit my mother, the facility is clean and the food they serve is quality and good. Great activities are provided daily. Good socialization amongst its residents.

Silver Lake Specialized Rehab and Care Center

They don’t care about patients at all. Clove Lakes was a very nice nursing home. They took very good care of my mother. I have known quite a few people that were there, and there were no problems.

They should be investigated and probably shut down. The patients that are sent here cannot get water or Ice. People if you truly care about your loved ones do not send them to this facility.

My husband has now been a resident for two years. He has been given best of care from both his nurses and diligent aides. As I visit my husband every day; I only wish that the parking was better; but being realistic, that is a headache all over the Island. The average length of stay at Clove Lakes Health Care And Rehab Center, Inc is approximately 33.0 days. (this may include both short and long-term care visits). I called to get a update of my brother, nurses on the 5th fl hanged up 5 times.

The community has a shaded patio area where residents can partake in BBQ meals on sunny days. The facility was dark, but clean. There are plenty of nurses on call and available to tend to patients needs although not every member of the staff seems happy to be there. There were activities planned for the residents but not every one participates.

Supervisor Nurse-Faculty Group Practice

The staff is friendly and nice, the rooms could be a little cleaner and the staff could help keep the room a little more organized for the patients that can’t do much for themselves. I don’t know why they have the patients eating in the hallways if they have a room, that’s not a pleasant sight to see as a first time visitor. Overall, the nurses take good care of my grandmother and I do appreciate all they do.

All staff in the building really make an effort to get to know the resident and always greet them with a smile. Overall this facility is great and i would recommend this facility to anyone looking to place a loved one. Right now, my aunt is at Golden Gate Rehab.

She has a lot of issues where she rings the bell, the staff don’t come a lot. They make her wait a long time to use the bathroom. That’s the only complaint and everything else is good. She said the food is good most of the time, and she loves her physical therapist. I haven’t been really inside because we’re not allowed to go in because of COVID, but the lobby is clean. They have a place that they can sit outside.

We had visitation rights just downstairs, but yesterday was the first day I was able to go up in her room. The rooms are rundown, dirty, and dingy. She didn’t have a shower in her room, and there was a toilet between her room and another room shared.

On cold days, there is no place to sit and chat besides the patient's room except for several loveseats near the cold entrance. Aides were great, patient, and hard-working. The doctor treated her as if she was a child.

They had me on low sodium diet, so it was unbearable. I didn't like it and it wasn't very appetizing. But the medication was great and I was well cared for. BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time.

The people have no communication between departments. Ask them what the state required minimum safe discharge protocols are and they look at you like you have 3 heads. They provided the worst care that any of my three relatives received here in Staten Island compared to 2 other nursing homes.
